Penn Hills Library Foundation

The mission of the Penn Hills Library Foundation is to enhance and expand the physical facility of the library. Additionally, it provides opportunities for the development, improvement, and expansion of cultural and educational programs and informational services of the library. The Foundation was incorporated April 6, 1993. Library expansion was a top priority, and the Library Foundation worked toward that goal. The new library opened in October 2007. The community can see how that goal has been reached.

How can you help? Your donation works to help achieve the goals of a much needed improved library in several ways. Your dollars become part of the necessary funds to meet the Library Foundation goals. Through evidence of community interest and support shown by your contributions, other public and private funds are more readily achieved. As improvements are made, enthusiasm builds toward final expansion goals with total funding achieved.

The general public and students avail themselves of an extensive number of resources in the now greatly enlarged library facility which includes a collection of 115,000 books, video cassettes, CD's and computer equipment. A number of meeting rooms of various sizes provide organizations with outstanding space for a variety of uses. Complimenting this assemblage of community resources is a large parking lot easily accessible from Stotler Road. Penn Hills is indeed fortunate in having such a facility. Contributing to the Penn Hills Library Foundation will enable continued upgrading of the building as well as providing new and exciting programs for everyone. Please consider a generous donation today as well as continued support enabling enrichment of community life in the future.
