Mental Health Awareness

Did you know that May is Mental Health Awareness Month? This year, we have put together a list of resources and books to help spread the word on mental health awareness and the importance of self care. We hope that you all find these resources helpful!

Take care of yourselves and be kind to others!

Enjoy 🙂

Have a Self-Care Day

Self care can be ANYTHING that brings you joy, a sense of calm, or that brings meaning to the term “self-care” in your mind. Below, we have some suggestions for activities that people often associate with self care. You could try these out for yourself, or come up with something personalized for you!

  • Do a crossword puzzle or word search
  • Try an adult coloring book
  • Do a jigsaw puzzle (bonus if the image you’re making brings you joy!)
  • Listen to some instrumental music or nature sounds on Youtube
  • Watch a Bob Ross Paint Along and maybe try painting yourself
  • Go for a walk
  • Write in a gratitude journal or verbally list some things/people you are grateful for
  • Try a new hobby that interests you (knitting, embroidery, drawing, etc.)
  • Read a book from a genre or author that you love! OR Re-read an old favorite
  • Try a guided meditation or breathing exercise
