New Director Announcement!

Jessica Beichler began as the Executive Director of the Penn Hills Library on June 22, 2026.

Prior to starting at the Library, she was the Director at Penn Area Library, a member of the Westmoreland Library Network. She holds a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from PennWest-Clarion and has nine years of experience in public libraries.

Before entering the library field, she worked for a book wholesaling company and as a development coordinator for a nonprofit. Her approach to librarianship involves developing the library as a community center and demonstrating that it belongs to everyone.

Jessica has been married to her husband, Jon, for almost half her life and they have one daughter, Mackenzie, who is a librarian in Washington, D.C. They live in Plum with two cats, Matilda and Margeaux, and a chocolate lab puppy named Mabel who is a library dog in training. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, trips to the beach, crocheting, and spending as much time outside as possible.
