- Call the library and we can put the item on hold for you.
- Visit our Catalog and place a hold.
- Download the Allegheny County Libraries App on your phone’s App Store to place a hold.
To place a hold on an ebook or audiobook…
All Penn Hills items will renew automatically as long as there isn’t a hold on the item. That means you can keep the item until you are done or until we contact you asking to bring it back.

Nope! You do not need a library card to use the computer, print, scan, fax, or to spend time in the library.
You will only ever need a card if you want to checkout materials.
Our study rooms are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. We have three upstairs in the children’s department and three downstairs in the adult library.
Each study room has a table, chairs, and a whiteboard on the wall.
