Library Renovations

The Penn Hills Library is currently developing a plan and seeking funding for renovations and upgrades to the existing library facility. The renovations will include updates to mechanical, electrical, and functional elements as well as improvements to patron amenities and experiences.

Fall 2025:

The library applied for several government grants to secure funding for renovations using the feasibility study provided by Pfaffmann and Associates

July 2025:

Pfaffmann and Associates and library staff collected feedback from community members about library renovations through a digital survey and a series of focus groups

May 2025:

Selected Pfaffmann and Associates as the architecture firm to conduct the feasibility study

January - March 2025:

Posted an RFP for a feasibility study of the facility assessing our current equipment and presenting a potential plan to redesign our space
