Love Your Library Month
September is Love Your Library Month!
The 10th annual Love Your Library campaign begins on September 1st! For ten years, our community has come together each September to show their support for Penn Hills Library. This year, we’re celebrating a full decade of impact — and we can’t wait for you to be part of it.
The Jack Buncher Foundation has generously committed $200,000 in matching funds for donations made to Allegheny County libraries this September. In addition, the NiSource Charitable Foundation / Columbia Gas has also generously committed $2,500 in matching funds. We need your help to unlock these matches! Make your gift go further by donating to the library this September.
Your support is instrumental in keeping our libraries as community anchors and the bridge that connects people of all ages to books, information, and each other as they learn and grow.

Love Your Library Special Events
Library in the Park - Sunday, September 7th
We will be hosting our first ever Library in the Park event on Sunday, September 7th from 12pm to 2pm at the Penn Hills Multi-Purpose Center on 2025 Lincoln Road Verona, PA 15147.
Help us kick off Love Your Library right! Join us for free food, books, library programs for all ages, and more!

Recommend-a-thon - Monday, September 8th through Friday, September 12th
Find your new favorite book! During the week of Monday, September 8th, library staff will be tabling on the lower level for one-on-one recommendation sessions. Come by and chat with us and we will be sure you leave with personalized recommendations curated by our dedicated staff. Whether you are looking for book recommendations, movies & TV shows, or music, we have you covered!
Love Your Library Spirit Week - Monday, September 22nd through Friday, September 26th
Show your Penn Hills Library pride and join staff in participating in our very first Spirit Week! Each day we will have a special theme. Whether you are stopping in to pick up a book, attending a program, using a computer, or just hanging out, we encourage you to join in on the fun!

How to Donate
Donate In-Person
You can make a donation in-person at the front desk of the library any time during operating hours via cash or check! We will have optional forms for you to fill out if you would like to receive a personalized Thank-You card from the library in October.
Donate via Mail
You can mail us a check any time during the month of September. Everyone who donates using this method will get a personalized Thank-You card from the library in October.

Dine-to-Donate Nights
Every Thursday in September, when you order from the Penn Hills Pizza Hut (7301 Saltsburg Rd, Penn Hills Township, PA 15235) using our code (HUTGIVES), 20% of your purchase will be donated to the Penn Hills Library Love Your Library Month Campaign!
On Tuesday, September 9th from 3pm to 10pm, present this flyer at the Monroeville/Wilkins Texas Roadhouse location and 10% of the total food purchase will be donated to the Penn Hills Library Love Your Library Campaign!
NEW Love Your Library Merch Store
We've been hearing from our patrons for years now that they wish they could purchase all the fun shirts our staff gets to have. Now, you can! Love Your Library merchandise is now available for sale through the Allegheny County Library Association's online store. All proceeds will benefit libraries county-wide. You can check out t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, mugs, and more at the button below!
